Everest Base Camp Trek

Everest base camp trek one of the typical treks is an admired destination for trekkers in Nepal since the decade of 1950s. The Everest Base Camp trek starts from Lukla and follows the Dudh Kosi valley and climbs up to the gate-way of Everest Namche Bazar (3440m) a sherpa territory. The trail, passes along blooming forests of rhododendron, magnolia, giant firs, across high mountain passes, remote valleys, villages and monasteries.

The trail goes by a high traverse path to achieve the Thyangboche monastery stands at the elevation of 3867m. The monastery is structurally located on a ridge crest with superior views of the mighty Everest. The vista in the morning from the courtyard of Thyangboche is enormously mesmerizing and eye-catching. After the path goes ahead to the Imja Khola and enters into the villages of Pangboche and Pheriche before forthcoming to the Khumbu Glacier. The route goes behind the glacier, to Lobuche, a vantage point for impressive surveillance of the Ama Dablam, Taweche, Lhotse and other peaks. Trekkers too have an opportunity to soar Kala Pattar (5550m) where an awesome image of the Himalayan giants precisely makes your minds with wheezing speculate. Day 01. Arrival and transfer to hotel (1350m)
Arrival in Kathmandu. You will be met, greeted and transported to the hotel.

 

Day 02: Free Day in Kathmandu (1350m)
Kathmandu city sightseeing tour, enjoy the day in Kathmandu - Nepal 's capital city and prepare for the next day's Mount Everest trek. Overnight Accommodations : Hotel/guesthouse

 

Day 03: Kathmandu to Lukla (2840m) to Phakding (2610m).
In the morning, take a spectacular 40-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla - 2840 meters in the Khumbu region of Eastern Nepal - providing unforgettable views of the terraced landscape and river valleys below, as well as up-close perspectives of some of the world's highest mountains followed by a trip to Phakding (2610m). After an easy afternoon's scenic walk, set up camp for an overnight stay Phakding. Overnight Accommodations : Tea house

 

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Walking through the magnificent forests of rhododendron, ending your nature-filled journey at Namche Bazaar (7 hrs from Phakding). While passing this long and often-steep passage, experience both the serenity and scenery of blue pine forests, firs, and junipers - all serving as the foreground to the beautiful backsplash that is Mount Everest .

Day 05: Day of Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Enjoy the beauty of Namche's quaint village as well as the friendliness and hospitality of its local people. Trekkers may also visit the local museum containing exhibits displaying the area's native flora and fauna as well as the history of the Mount Everest region. Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3860 meters)
Participants begin their trek with awe-inspiring, unforgettable views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse , Cholatse, Kantega, Ama Dablam and Thamserku. This stretch of the trek (approximately 3 hours) is quite an easy walk from Namche to Phunki, followed by a three-hour ascent towards Tengboche. Overnight Accommodations : Tea house

 

Day 07: Tengboche to Pheriche (4240m)
Journey towards Pheriche and trek through forests filled with of a variety of lush trees - birch, conifers and rhododendron. This picturesque trail dips down to Debuche, crossing the Imja River before climbing up to Pheriche.

Day 08: Day of Acclimatization in Pheriche (4240m)
Acclimatize for trekking. Follow the invaluable suggestions/advice of guides while taking short journeys to Dingboche and Chhukung while simultaneously experiencing the various but beautiful views of Himalayas. Overnight Accommodations : Tea house/Guesthouse


Day 09: Pheriche to Lobuje (4940m.)
Continuation of ascent, climbing up to the terminal debris of Khumbu Glacier - crossing the row of stone monuments

Day 10: Lobuche to Gorak Shep to Kala Pathar (5550m)
Enduring a climb of approximately two (2) hours to arrive at Gorak Shep where you are treated to yet another beautiful view of Mt. Everest and Pumori - reaching Kala Pathar (within two hours of trekking). Once observing one of the most up-close and formidable views of Mt. Everest from Kala Patthar, return back to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay.

Day 11: Gorak Shep to Lobuje (4940m.)
Walk along the Khumbu Glacier and up to the Everest Base Camp (5380m) - the closest destination reachable without proper mountain-climbing equipment. Here, enjoy the spectacular view of the Khumbu Icefall from the world-renowned Mount Everest Base Camp before descending to Lobuje. Overnight Accommodations : Tea house

 

Day 12: Lobuje to Pangboche (3940m)
Enjoy a gentle, view-filled descent from Lobuje to Dingboche Overnight Accommodations : Tea house

 

Day 13: Pangboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Further return-descent to Namche Bazaar - once again traversing the beautiful, prismatic forests of blue pine and rhododendron. Overnight Accommodations : Tea house / Guest house/Hotel

 

Day 14: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2840m)
An easy walk down to Lulka for the final night's stay in the Khumbu region - participants can explore Lukla, a rapidly changing portion of the Himalayas. Overnight Accommodations : Tea house/hotel/guest house

 

Day 15: Lukla to Kathmandu (1350m)
Take a return flight from Lukla to Kathmandu where participants can kick up their feet and relax at a hotel; taking time to reflect on the journey behind them Overnight Accommodations : Hotel
