Ghale Gaun Cultural Village Trek is one of the popular destination in Nepal which lies 108 km northwest of Kathmandu. This trek is suitable for those who like to explore nature and the culture. During this trek we can explore the Gurung settlement (ethnic group of Nepal) as well as the beautiful range of Himalayas.
Ghalegaun is very famous tourist village, popular for the hospitality of the Gurung community and beautiful view of mountains. It is known as "Asia's model tourism village." Not only Ghalegaun, but Ghanpokhara, Bhujung, Sikles are also famous for the culture of Gurung people as well as their heart touching hospitality. Trekking in this region feels like trekking in home because of the love and respect showered by the people of these villages. During the trek we can also enjoy the beautiful views of mountains like: Manaslu range including Lamjung himal, Annapurna III, IV, Machhapuchhre.
The overall Ghale Gaun Cultural Village Trek reflects the village life of Nepal along with the scenic setting and amazing ethinc culture of village people.

Trip itinerary
After arrival in Kathmandu airport we will transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar. It takes 6 / 7 hours to reach Besisahar by private jeep. Overnight at hotel.
This day after walking 6/7 hours we will reach Ghalegaun. We can also hire a jeep which will take 4 hours to reach Ghalegaun. Here we will be welcomed by local villagers with garlands and Tika. This Ghalegaun village has major settlement of Gurung community (one of the ethnic groups of Nepal), at night we will enjoy Gurung cultural show organized by locals. From here we can see whole Manaslu range including Lamjung himal, Annapurna III, IV, Machhapuchhre. Overnight homestay and enjoy local food.
Wake up early morning, viewing the sunrise, Mt. Annapurna and Manasulu range, Marshyangdi, river valley, Khudi river valley and many more, After breakfast, 1 hour hike to Ghan Pokhara village, we will explore the village then back to Ghalegaun and enjoy culture the local hospitality, tradition. Overnight at home stay.
After breakfast, 3 hour walk for Bhujung school, viewing the ever green waterfalls, Midim river valley, mountain village, half hour walk for Bhujung. Overnight at home stay and enjoy local food.
(Note: We can also hire jeep from Ghalegaun to Bhujung. It takes around 1 hour to reach there through the mountain roads.)
This is one of the biggest Gurunug village on this trail. We can explore the rich Gurung culture , tradition and life style of the people of Bhujung. From Bhujung we can enjoy the view of Lamjung himal. Also, the Bhujung village is very big and we can see the traditional settlement of Bhujung village from the top. All the homes are almost of similar nature, we can explore their terrace farming, livelihood and their culture. Overnight at home stay and enjoy local food.
This day we will walk 5 to 6 hours to reach Pasgaun. The first 1 hour is downhill up to Midim river and then 3 hours uphill to reach Deurali and after 1 hour downhill we will arrive at Pasgaun. The trail pass through terrain fields, village and jungle. Pasgaun village is rich in gurung culture and tradition. Overnight home stay and enjoy local food.
This on the way to Phakurikot we pass through several villages on the way and we can see the Manaslu and Annapurna mountain range and Pokhara valley. Overnight at home stay and enjoy local food.
This day we will have long walk to reach yanjakot . on the way we pass through the villages and terrain fields .At Bhachok we will have our lunch and after lunch we will walk around 3-4 hours to reach yanjakot. Overnight at home stay.
This day we walk 3-4 hours to reach Tangting village the way is downhill and almost flat . Tangting is a beautiful village to experience people and culture of the local peoples. From Tangting it takes 2 hour uphill to reach Sikles . Sikles is one of the biggest Gurung village on this trail, in Sikles we can explore the local culture tradition ,architecture and life style of the people of Sikles as well we can enjoy panoramic view of Mt. Lamjung , Annapurna II, Machapuchhre .Overnight at home stay.
After breakfast, we will drive to Pokhara. It will take around 5 hours by local bus to reach Pokhara. Overnight at hotel.
We can fly or drive by private vehicles/tourist bus to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
This day we will have a free day for shopping and other activities such as Kathmandu city sightseeing etc. Overnight at hotel.
Transfer to international airport and fly to your destination.
