The Langtang Valley lies closer to Kathmandu than other trekking regions, and is lesser used by both trekkers and local. The Langtang valley Trekking is aptly called the valley of glaciers; where mountains rise soaring toward the sky. The valley offers beautiful scenery of pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow-caped peaks, grassy down and meadows strewn with daises and wild animals. Langtang valley trek is on the area of Tibetan culture and home of Yak.
The trek starts from Dhunche or Syabrubesi and ends at Dhunche or Syabrubesi again. From Sybru Bensi, you will follow the Langtang River to the east until you get to Kyanjin Gompa (3730m.). When you arrive in Kyanjin Gompa we recommend you to stay one extra day for the climb Tserko Ri (5184m) from where you see nice view of the Himalayas.
Langtang valley trek route have good network of lodge facilities so you can have stay at the comfortable lodges. Langtang Valley Trekking is not so difficult trekking where any one can make their journey successful to the Himalaya. Langtang Valley Trekking itinerary can be deigned short or long as per trekkers demand.
After your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), our correspondent will be there to welcome you to the Himalayan country. We will pick up you in private vehicle and transfer to hotel. After your arrival we will be briefing you and prepare for the trek. Overnight at hotel.
This day we will drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi which takes about nine hours by local bus. By jeep it will take about 7 hours drive to Shyabrubesi. We head north out of Kathmandu driving through scenic foothills to Syabru Besi passing through Dhunche. While passing along Rani Pouwa we will catch a glimpse of Ganesh Himal, Langtang himal, terraces and green hills. Stay overnight at lodge.
This day we will walk for about 6 / 7 hours. The first part of the trail crosses through the Bhote Koshi river and follows the Langtang Khola. The trail gradually ascends to Bamboo passing through landslide. Afterwards, we trek gently down to Rimche (2400m.) through Bamboo (1960m.) which lies on the bank of the Langtang Khola. We can have lunch at lodge in Bamboo. After having lunch and walking for about 45 minutes we will cross suspension bridge and again climbing for about 2 and half hours we will reach Rimche. After walking for about 20 minutes we will reach Lama hotel. Stay overnight at lodge.
This day we will walk through almost straight trail. We will reach Gomna after walking for about 2 hours crossing rhododendron and oak forests. From Gomna we will walk through uphill trail towards Ghodatabela for about 1 hour. We can have lunch at Ghoda Tabela. After having lunch we will start walking through uphill trail crossing Thangsep village, In this village we will find mostly Tamang people (one of the ethnic groups in Nepal) . After walking for about 2 hours from Thangsep village we will reach Langtang. Stay overnight at lodge.
From Langtang we will walk for about 3 hours to reach Kyanjin Gompa. On the way we can see very good views of Langtang mountain range including Naya Khang, Ganjala Himal, Langtang Lirung. Stay overnight at lodge.
This day we will explore around Kyanjin Gompa, we can visit the monastery and the cheese factory, glaciers of Langtang Lirung or climb Tserko Ri (4980m.)from where we can see breathtaking panoramic view of the Langtang Himalayan Range after return to Kyanjin Gompa. Stay overnight at lodge.
This day we walk all the way down towards Lama hotel. It will take 5 or 6 hours to reach Lama hotel. We will have lunch in Ghoda Tabela. After lunch, we will continue the steep descent to Lama Hotel. Stay overnight at lodge.
This day we walk for about six hours. This day you trek along a flat leveled path until you reach Sherpa Gaon (2500 m.) passing through terraces and green hills. The next part of your trek is full of ups and downs until Bhanjyang village. At this point you will be amazed by the views of Ganesh Himal in panorama, Kerung peak of Tibet and many others. Finally, your trek goes steeply down to Wangal before becoming a gradually descending path to the Syabru Besi. Stay overnight at lodge.
Drive from Syabru Besi to Kathmandu by private vehicle / local bus, which takes about 7 / 9 hours. Overnight at hotel.
This day will be a free day in Kathmandu. In meantime we can visit the different places listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites like: Boudha, Pashupatinath, Swoyambhu and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Overnight at hotel.
