Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our correspondent who will assist with your transfer to the hotel. Once checked in, we will arrange a pre-trip meeting where we will brief in short about the trek, answer any queries you have and meet your trekking guide as well. After the short brief, you can relax and spend rest of the day at your leisure. Stay overnight at the Hotel / Resort in Kathmandu.
Today after having breakfast in the hotel, we will meet our guide and driver at the hotel and prepare to depart towards Salleri by road in local private jeep. The scenic drive takes approximately 8-9 hours, passing through beautiful countryside, terraced fields, and traditional villages.
As we leave the bustling city behind, we get our first glimpses of the Himalayan foothills and lush green valleys. On the way we can observe a beautiful view of the villages that pass by the Sunkoshi River with an incredible landscape. We will also have to drive through mountain road to reach Salleri. Salleri is the district headquarters of Solukhumbu. Upon reaching Salleri (2,470m), we settle into a local guesthouse, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and preparing for the trek ahead. After an early breakfast, we continue to Pangum in a local private Jeep which takes about 5/6 hours.On the way we will pass through beautiful villages while having panoramic views of the Himalayas and crossing the Dudhkoshi River we will arrive at Pangum.
Pangum is a beautiful Sherpa village nestled in the hills. The trail gradually ascends through dense forests, terraced fields, and traditional settlements, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. This place is also famous for Buddhist monastery and scenic viewpoints. Here, we will see the settlement of the Sherpa people (one of the ethnic groups of Nepal), exploring the surroundings of Chholing Gompa (Monastery). Stay overnight at Lodge.
This day after having breakfast we will begin our trek towards Ramailo Danda following a scenic trail through lush rhododendron and pine forests which takes about 5-6 hours. We will trek with a mix of gradual ascents and descents. On the way we are rewarded with panoramic Himalayan views.
The trek offers breathtaking views of Mera Peak, Kongde Ri, and other surrounding mountains. As we move higher, we cross Pangum La Pass (3,173m), which provides a spectacular vantage point of the Hinku Valley. Arriving at Ramailo Dada, we can see a panoramic view of the Himalayas, including Mera Peak. Stay overnight at Lodge.
This day after having breakfast in the morning, we will prepare to trek towards Chettra Khola, which takes about 5 hours.
Today’s trek takes us deeper into the Hinku Valley, descending gradually from Ramailo Danda through dense forests of rhododendron, bamboo, and pine. The trail is peaceful, passing through remote and untouched wilderness, with occasional glimpses of Mera Peak and other Himalayan giants.
Walking along the mix of ascents and descents, crossing small streams and wooden bridges we will reach Chhetra Khola. We arrive at our resting point for the night, a secluded teahouse surrounded by nature. This stop is essential for preparing our bodies for the increasing altitude ahead. Stay overnight at Lodge.
This day after having breakfast we will trek towards Kothe which takes about 5-6 hours. Today's trek follows a beautiful yet challenging trail along the banks of the Hinku River, gradually leading us toward Kothe. The path winds through dense forests of rhododendron, pine, and bamboo, home to diverse wildlife, including Himalayan pheasants and musk deer.
As we move higher, the terrain becomes more rugged, and the towering peaks of the Hinku Valley start to dominate the landscape. After about 5-6 hours of trekking, we arrive at Kothe (3,691m), a small settlement offering breathtaking views of Mera Peak’s southern face. We settle into a teahouse, enjoying a warm meal and much-needed rest before continuing our ascent. Stay overnight at Lodge.
This day we will have breakfast in the morning and get ready to trek towards Tangnang which takes about 4-5 hours.
Leaving Kothe, we follow the beautiful Hinku Valley, trekking along the banks of the Hinku River with stunning views of Mera Peak and surrounding snow-capped mountains. The trail gradually ascends, passing through alpine meadows and yak pastures. On the way to Tangnang we can also visit one of the oldest Buddhist Do Drul Monastery.
As we get closer to Tangnag we start to notice the landscape becoming more rugged and glacial. Tangnag is a small settlement used by climbers for acclimatization, offering breathtaking views of Charpate Himal and Mera Peak’s massive south face and west face. Stay overnight at lodge.
Today is a crucial rest and acclimatization day in Tangnag, allowing our bodies to adjust to the increasing altitude before continuing towards Mera Peak.
To aid acclimatization, we can take a short hike to higher elevations, such as Kusum Kanguru (5000 m), from where we can see crystal clear view of Mera Peak. Today’s hike will take around ¾ hours. Stay overnight at lodge.
After a good rest in Tangnag, we continue our ascent towards Khare (5,045m), the last major settlement before Mera Peak Base Camp. The trail follows the Hinku Glacier, gradually climbing through rocky and glacial terrain. As we gain altitude, the vegetation thins, revealing a rugged alpine landscape with breathtaking views of Mera Peak’s north face. Also, we can see beautiful views of Kyasar Kang (6770 m).
Today’s trek will take around 5 hours, walking zig zag uphill trial which becomes steeper as we approach Khare. Stay overnight at lodge.
This day after having breakfast we will head towards High camp for stepping into the true alpine world of Mera Peak. Today’s trek will be around 5-6 hours walking over snow-covered rocky terrain upto we reach High Camp (5780m), a spectacular vantage point perched above the clouds.
As we gain altitude, the air gets thinner, and the climb becomes more demanding, but we will be welcomed by breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu which keep us motivated. Here in High camp, we settle into our tents, rest, and prepare for the final push to the summit. The night is spent under a dazzling sky filled with stars, with the excitement of summiting Mera Peak just ahead. Stay overnight at tented camp.
Today is the most anticipated and challenging day of the expedition—the summit push to Mera Peak (6,461m). We start in the early hours, usually around 2-3 AM, using headlamps to navigate the icy slopes under the starlit sky. The climb is steady but demanding, requiring the use of crampons, ropes, and ice axes as we ascend the snow-covered terrain.
After 5-6 hours of climbing, we reach the summit of Mera Peak, where we are rewarded with an unparalleled 360-degree panorama of the world’s highest peaks—Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Kanchenjunga. Standing on the summit at sunrise is an unforgettable moment, making all the effort worthwhile.
After celebrating and capturing breathtaking photos, we begin our descent back to Khare, retracing our steps carefully. The return journey takes around 4-5 hours, and upon reaching Khare, we enjoy a well-earned rest after this incredible achievement. Stay overnight at lodge.
This day after having breakfast we will start to descend back to Kothe which takes about 5 hours. The descent is much easier on the lungs, and as we drop in altitude, we start to feel stronger and more energized. Stay overnight at lodge.
This day after having breakfast we will be we begin our ascent back toward the Zatrwa La Pass (4,610m), retracing our route through the Hinku Valley which takes about 6/7 hours.
The trail gradually climbs through dense rhododendron and pine forests before transitioning into rugged alpine terrain. As we gain altitude, the air becomes crisper, and the views of Mera Peak, Kusum Kanguru, and other Himalayan giants become even more spectacular. Stay overnight at lodge.
This day after having breakfast we will get ready for the last day of our trek to Lukla via Chutanga which takes about 6-7 hours with a mix of steep descents and gentle forest trails.
The trail leads us down through alpine landscapes and into lush forests, retracing our path through Chutanga (3,020m) before continuing toward Lukla (2,840m). Upon, reaching Lukla, we celebrate our successful climb with a well-earned rest, enjoying the comforts of a cozy teahouse before our flight back to Kathmandu the next day. Stay overnight at lodge.
After having breakfast in the lodge, we bid farewell to the Everest region of Nepal and again take scenic flight to Kathmandu / Ramechhap. Stay overnight at Hotel / Resort.
