Arrival at Kathmandu airport, pick up by our correspondent and transfer to the hotel. (At the foot of the Himalayas, where they assure that their gods live, Nepal stands, a land of spectacular landscapes, temples and cities with a rich cultural heritage. Today after having breakfast in the hotel, prepare to visit UNESCO listed Heritage sites around Kathmandu: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swoyambhunath, Boudhanath & Pashupatinath. Stay overnight at 4-star hotel in Kathmandu.

The white dome, gilded spire, and painted Buddha eyes watch over the city in all four directions. Expect to see monks, nuns, pilgrims, and even mischievous monkeys as you ascend the steps to this sacred site.

  • Boudhanath Stupa (UNESCO World Heritage Site): One of the largest stupas in the world, Boudhanath is a spiritual magnet for Tibetan Buddhists. Built in the 5th century, its massive white dome and golden spire are surrounded by a lively circle of prayer wheels, Tibetan monasteries, and shops selling incense, thangka paintings, and handicrafts. Evenings are especially magical as locals and pilgrims perform kora (ritual circumambulation) in a peaceful, meditative atmosphere.

  • Pashupatinath (UNESCO World Heritage Site): Pashupatinath is Nepal’s holiest Hindu temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, revered as the Lord of Destruction and Transformation. Located on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River, this sacred complex is a masterpiece of Hindu architecture, featuring a striking two-tiered golden pagoda roof, intricately carved silver doors, and numerous shrines and lingams spread across the area. While non-Hindus cannot enter the inner sanctum, visitors can still observe the powerful spiritual energy of the site by watching daily rituals, aarti ceremonies, and Hindu cremations from the opposite riverbank. The surrounding ghats, sadhus (holy men), and peaceful chants offer a deep cultural and spiritual insight.
