Best Season for Classic Nepal Tour with Ghorepani Trek
For doing the tour in Nepal, it is possible to travel whole year as every season display different scenarios. However, it is wise to know about the climatic season. Normally, Spring, Autumn and Winter are best season to travel around. Here, all seasons are categorized in 4 different climatic seasons:
1) Spring (March, April, May)
In Spring season in Nepal, there are lots of opportunities to enjoy and see breathtaking views of the mountains and surrounding area, whereas the temperature is moderate at higher elevations and slightly warmer in lower lands. During this season, blossoming flowers, particularly the Rhododendron, the national flower of Nepal, adorn the rising heights with their abundant colour and beauty. Even the high-altitude lodges open and fill up with enthusiasts for the mountains.
2) Summer (June, July, August)
Summer in Nepal is also the monsoon season. The weather is hot and occasionally rainy right now. Nearly every day is rainy, and there are sporadic nighttime thunderstorms. The rich green greenery is dispersed around the area by the rain. In summer also, tour can be done in Nepal, but we have to be careful while trekking as some areas are best during summer (monsoon) and some are not advisable for trekking in Nepal. We advise selecting regions of Nepal that receive rain shadows if you intend to trek during this season.
3) Autumn (September, October, November)
Autumn in Nepal is considered as best season where we can see tourist everywhere we go. The weather is highly pleasant so are the mountain views. The trekking routes get beautified with the presence of trekkers and expedition groups. Meantime, most of the festivals (Dashain, Tihar, Chhat) of Nepalese societies are enthusiastically celebrated at this time.
4) Winter (December, January, February)
Winter is also one of the best times to visit Nepal as the sky is clear and we get the chance to observe snowfalls at higher elevations which makes mountains very beautiful. During the tour we can have fun with the snowy Himalayas views and best warm temperature of lowlands like Chitwan, Bardia and so on. Tour is not affected anywhere but trekking at lower heights is ideal during this season. While the days are warm and pleasant, the mornings and nights may turn quite chilly, occasionally reaching temperatures as low as (-) zero.
