Everest Base Camp Heli Tour Detailed Itinerary

5:30 - 6:00 A.M: Pickup from the hotel and drop to Domestic Terminal

Our team will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning and transfer you to the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.

6:20 - 7:00 A.M: Check in airport & preparation & processing for Everest Heli Tour

Complete airport formalities and check in at the helicopter counter (passport photocopy required). After safety briefing and preparation, get ready for the scenic flight.

7:00 - 8:00 A.M: Fly to Lukla

Take a breathtaking helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the gateway to Everest. Enjoy panoramic views of green valleys and snow-capped peaks en route.

8:00 - 8:30 A.M: Fly over to Kalapatthar

Fly above the iconic Khumbu Glacier and Everest Base Camp, witnessing Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and other towering Himalayan peaks from the sky.

8:30 - 8:45 A.M: Land & Explore around Kalapatthar (extra cost)

8:45 - 9:00 A.M: Fly towards Everest View Hotel 

Fly towards the famous Everest View Hotel, nestled above Namche Bazaar, for a relaxing break with spectacular Himalayan views.

9:00 - 9:30 A.M: Free Time or Breakfast (optional) at Everest View Hotel

Enjoy tea, coffee, or breakfast (optional) at the Everest View Hotel while admiring Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, and surrounding peaks.

9:30 - 10:00 A.M: Fly back to Lukla

Board the helicopter again and fly back towards Lukla. Depending on conditions, a short stop may be made for refueling.

10:00 - 11:00 A.M: Fly back to Kathmandu 

Return to Kathmandu with stunning aerial views of the Himalayas and valleys below.

11:00 - 11:30 A.M: Drop to Hotel from Airport

Land at Kathmandu Domestic Airport where our representative will transfer you back to your hotel. Tour concludes.

Dates & Availability

  • Fixed departures are available every day, subject to clear weather conditions. Usual reporting time is 5:30 AM at the Kathmandu Domestic Airport (exact timing will be reconfirmed one day before departure).
  • Guests are requested to carry a photocopy of their passport for check-in at the helicopter counter.
  • Flights operate only in good weather for safety and the best Himalayan views. In case of flight cancellation due to weather, you can either reschedule for the next clear-weather day or receive a 100% refund of your deposit.

Weight Limitation of Everest Helicopter Tour

  • During Everest Heli tour, in 1 helicopter maximum 5 person are allowed in lower elevations 
  • 5 pax will be shuttled in 3:2 basis for higher elevations. 
  • Total weight limit for 5 person is 500 kilos
  • Per person weight limit for helicopter tour is 80 kilos (extra charge for more than 80 kilos of person)
